Spitz naevus, predominantly dermal
Spitz naevi are occasionally seen beyond the age of 50. The histologicl criteria are the same. In middle and late adulthood, however, the finding of ascent, some deep mitotic activity or other atypical features would be an argument to render a verdict of STUMP (Spitz tumour of uncertain malignant potential).
