Case 45 Male, 56 years. Skin nodule, backShow diagnosis & comments
This extraordinary dermal tumour showed sharp circumscription in deep parts, a spitzoid cell type, focal melanotic pigmentation, brisk mitotic activity and, in areas, a conspicuous trabecular architecture. Melanocyte markers (S-100, Melan-A, HMB-45) were positive. Possibly it is best regarded as a variant of deep penetrating naevus-like (DPN-like) melanoma.
