Superficial spreading melanoma, with naevus remnant
The melanoma cells are predominantly spitzoid (resemble Spitz naevus cells) but the variability in cellular features, the compactness of the intradermal nests, the gross assymmetry of the lesion, the epidermal flattening and the presence of some intradermal mitotic activity points to melanoma. Again, there is a small naevus NOS-remnant.
