Naevus with (presumably posttraumatic) ulceration
Cutaneous naevi are exposed to many insults, including mechanical trauma. For this reason, it is important not to interpret ulceration, haemorrhage, superficial necrosis and scarring as an intrinsic (and therefore suspicious) feature of the lesion, without sonsidering the alternative possibility: external insult influencing the state of the lesion. This alternative possibility should be considered at all times.
