Case 50 Female, 61 years. ‘Naevus’ of skin of axilla.Show diagnosis & comments
Compound naevus, of ‘special site’
Naevi of the skin of the ear, axilla, periumbilical region, gentialia, knees and acral sites, may have a somewhat more irregular appearance than cutaneous naevi from other body sites. They often show a close resemblance to acral naevi, genital naevi and to some extent dysplastic naevi. For this reason, they are sometime referred to as 'special site naevi'.
