Intradermal naevus with small posttraumatic epidermal defect .
Minor trauma (? scratching) may have caused a small defect. The naevus cells are devoid of atypia and architecturally there are no suspicious findings. Ulceration of melanoma usually occurs in richly cellular examples, with thinning and stretching of the epidermis.
