Case 37 Female, 61 years. Atypical pigmented lesion, temporal skinShow diagnosis & comments
MELTUMP (melanocytic tumourn of uncertain malignant potential)
There is a 'degenerative type' of nuclear atypia, with smudging of chromatin, irregular shapes, many intranuclear pseudovacuoles, in both components of this lesion. The overall architectural pattern is reassuring. However, the lesion presents in chronically sun-damaged skin and there is at least one mitotic figure.
